Why to study at UMPRUM/AAAD?
The Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague was founded in 1885 and the first school of its kind to be established in the Czech lands. Today it is a modern, dynamic and outward-looking institution that consistently ranks among the most prestigious art universities in Western and Eastern Europe. The school is located in the historic centre of Prague and housed in an original Neo-Renaissance building which features traditional atelier-like studios.
What else sets UMPRUM/AAAD apart?
Renowned professors and leading authorities in their respective fields as well as international guest professors, who are invited each semester as part of the Guest Artist programme.
High competition for places results in a small student body, which nurtures an individual approach to each student across the school's respective studios and study programmes.
In-house specialised workshops in each field of study complemented by a wide range of theoretical classes.
Three gallery spaces in the centre of Prague for use by students. Historic library with a vast collection of publications in multiple languages.
Collaborative projects between students and Czech and international manufacturers
Students take part in prestigious international exhibitions and design fairs.
