The aim of the workshop is to explore different approaches to online radio and broadcasting from participative and community perspectives. With discussions, a listening session, preparation of audio files, making (and how-to) of a jingle, and visuals for a show. And finally, a live broadcast on the online Radio Takk-R station.
The workshop aims to provide participants with the practicalities of producing a live show and knowledge on community perspectives within online radio.
Pálma Fazakas is a Budapest-born artist living and working in Berlin, whose main interests are radio, sound, and sonic engagement through various forms of collaborative approaches. They are the founder of an online radio station called Radio Takk-R and are currently working together with Lahmacun Radio. Their favorite ice cream flavor is pistachio.
Radio Takk-R is an experimental, non-commercial web radio, founded in 2019 with the aim to connect artists, musicians, and anyone interested in the workings and making of an online radio station, and to cultivate experimentation and encourage offline activity paired with online presence. The platform started in Budapest, with the work of volunteers. We broadcast live, ad-hoc, unscripted and pre-recorded shows and organize various events (workshops, club nights). For the past three years, we have been collaborating with different collectives such as Cselgáncs Klub, Local Stickerbook, Motsion and Lahmacun Radio. Our current headquarter is the Internet.
