In the follow-up master’s course, emphasis is placed on formation of the personality of the artist and creative individual approaches grounded in knowledge of the basic principles of the discipline. The importance of studio training, in which artistic concept is combined with scientific and technical work, as well as training in the subjects of history of art and art philosophy continues to grow. The course is conceived to expand and deepen the knowledge and skills that students have acquired during bachelor’s studies of graphic design specialisms at UMPRUM and other colleges.
The objective of the follow-up master’s program is to nurture multifaceted graphic designers who even after graduation will continue to develop their personalities and guarantee in the working process perfect results, exceptional inventiveness, aesthetic quality and a high degree of social sensitivity. Graduates are capable not only of managing a team of colleagues, but also of implementing independent projects in the sphere of commercial or studio production with crossovers into art design. They are distinctly active, independent and creatively thinking artistic personalities with initiative who have mastered the principles of creative work. Graduates in all specialisms have the prerequisites to continue successfully on to the doctoral stage, become valid members of research teams, work in leading positions of promotional departments, lead creative teams in a large graphic design studio or establish their own studios.
