The academic grant competition is intended to support the projects of the UMPRUM academic staff and is implemented in three areas, which are based on the priorities set out in UMPRUM's Long-Term plan. In addition to academic staff, doctoral or master's students can also be members of the research team.
The competition is announced several times a year. The first round is always closed no later than the 31st of December of the previous calendar year, and subsequently further rounds may be announced during the year.
1st scope
Support of educational work is aimed at increasing the quality of teaching. The submitted projects should enrich teaching within existing programs, for example in the form of organizing seminars, workshops, establishing cooperation with industry, other schools, study trips, creation and acquisition of study aids, etc.
2nd scope
Development of creative and presentation activities. Projects in this area focus primarily on supporting domestic and foreign exhibition activities of individual studios, students, and teachers.
3rd scope
Support for research activities of academic staff. Projects focusing on supporting research activities within the school in the main areas of experimental art, material technologies and theoretical research, public presentation of partial results from science and research, strengthening transdisciplinary cooperation between research actors in artistic and theoretical fields within the school, promoting research work for academic staff and students, for the presentation of the results of scientific research in the form of publications, lectures, and conferences at the local and international level, etc...
