Kamila Dvořáková, a student of the Studio of Glass at UMPRUM, is participating in the Munich Talente - Masters of the Future 2025 competition in the Glass and Ceramics section. She has impressed the jury with her collection Marshmallow, which is based on work with touch.
TALENTE München - Masters of the Future presents the work of 92 young craftsmen and designers from 27 countries in 12 different craft areas.
As the artist herself describes it, the cornerstone of her work is touch. Her aim was to create an object that invites exploration not only with the eyes but also with the hands. Dvořáková adds: "In the process of creating, I explored the limits of the glass material and tried to reach a point where the viewer asks the question: 'Is this glass at all? What is this object made of?' In addition to haptics, the interaction of colours also plays an important role."
Her collection of Marshmallow vases has already been presented in the Glass Hub installation at Venice Glass Week 2024 and also at the successful This is us! exhibition at the Glassimo gallery in Prague.
