Meeting of participants of the FashionTEX project at UMPRUM in Prague

A large joint meeting of the eleven partner universities of the FashionTEX project took place at the Technology Centre of UMPRUM from 11 to 14 March 2024. One of the goals of the project is to implement the CLO3D program, which enables 3D modelling and designing of clothing and clothing accessories, at schools.  Not only its possibilities, representatives from all over Europe discussed further applications and shared with each other the progress made and developed new ideas for the digital future of fashion.

The whole event included a wide range of activities that combined expert discussions with practical experience. The programme included, for example, a presentation of the makerspace concept for students, preparations for the presentation of FashionTEX in Chemnitz in November and sharing of experiences of the partner schools. Space was also given for discussions and the transfer of knowledge that can be shared by those involved in the next phases of the project.

A theme that resonated throughout the event was the future of digital fashion, innovative teaching methods and the growing importance of 3D design in education. The dynamic exchange between institutions highlighted how FashionTEX promotes collaboration and opens up new perspectives in fashion education.
