Three students from the Studio K.O.V. at UMPRUM—Katarína Nábilková, Ema Bártová, and Jana Novotná—are representing the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague at the exhibition "What Will We Wear in the Future?" The event is organized in cooperation with the "Culture - Central Europe" (PCCE) platform, which is chaired this year by Hungary. The exhibition is held at the prestigious Carpet Museum in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Katarína Nábilková is presenting her work "My memories", Ema Bártová showcases "Why are you so quiet?", and Jana Novotná is exhibiting "Keyonsense". Their works are presented alongside those of other artists from Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, and Azerbaijan.
The masterpieces made with different techniques, recycled and natural materials created by 28 talented students of fashion and design will be shown during the joint exhibition. The authors demonstrate the transformation potentials of biomaterials and textiles in their works, challenging the traditional concept of waste products. They draw attention to the role of originality, intuition, independent and critical thinking in contemporary design, as well as the ecological benefits that the fashion industry can contribute to environmental protection through recycling.
The project that explores the relationship between sustainability and fashion, presenting different approaches and solutions, is organized by the PCCE counries, the Embassy of Hungary in the Republic of Azerbaijan, and the Azerbaijan National Carpet Museum.
