Czech Centre Munich, Prinzregentenstr. 7, Munich, Germany

The studio, under the direction of Eva Eisler since 2007, provides space and time for experimentation and the search for one's own artistic language and opinion. As the name of the studio suggests, students are not constrained by material, scale, or the wearability or utility of objects. Emphasis is placed on the integrity of the idea and execution of the artist's projects. The exhibited objects float freely between the boundaries of sculpture, utilitarian objects, jewellery, or small architecture. Although they are the result of different creative approaches, together they speak with a confident, mature voice.

Students and graduates of the K.O.V. studio regularly participate in international shows such as the Marzee Graduate Show, Talente, and Schmuck and have won awards in competitions such as the Marzee Graduate Prize, Czech Grand Design, and the National Prize for Student Design. The work of K.O.V. students has been shown at exhibitions in Munich, London, New York, and Milan.

Eva Eisler is an internationally renowned sculptor, designer, and jewellery designer. Her work is represented in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York, the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, and many other public and private collections.
